A Practical Framework for Making Money as a Creator

Every few weeks I like to share insights from one of the regular workshops that we do within the Part-Time YouTuber Academy (PTYA) Community and this week I wanted to focus on monetisation – an area of content creation that we regularly receive questions about from readers of this newsletter and students within the Academy.

And so the clip this week is from a session with Tintin Smith – my former YouTuber Producer – where he breaks down part of his roadmap to building a profitable $100k/year business – even if you don’t have a massive audience.

One of the most encouraging takeaways: you don’t need 500,000 subscribers or a huge mailing list to make this work – you just need the right offer for the right people (and a simple way to validate demand).

In particular, he shares how he used an email list of ~4,500 people to build his own six figure business, plus the first steps to take if you’re still figuring out what to sell (audience research, test offers, and validating demand)
